6/7/2017 Mutual - Swim Checks
This Wednesday, June 7th, the crew will be meeting at the Bar C Ranch pool located at 8325
Comanche Springs Dr, Fort Worth, TX to do swim checks for high
adventure planned for June 15th thru the 17th. If your son is not planning on
attending high adventure they are still welcome to come and spend an
hour swimming at the pool. The swim checks should not take too long and
will consist of the following:
- Jump feet first into the water.
- Swim 75 yards in a strong manner using one or more of the following strokes: side, breast, or crawl.
- Swim 25 yards using an easy, resting backstroke.
- The 100 yards must be completed without stops and must include at least one sharp turn.
This
will not be an official BSA swim check due to the lack of an official
life guard not being present but will serve as a baseline for the adults
to know and understand the capabilities of everyone attending high
adventure.
